Ephesians 4:32
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you (KJV).
How easy it is for us to harbour offence! This week, I want to use this platform to encourage everyone in examplifying Christianity. One of the true distinctive characteristics of a son or daughter of God is one who forgives and forgets in a Christ-like manner. It's definitely one of the hardest things in the world to do! No fancy stories for you guys this week unfortunately! But this morning when I rolled out of bed, I mentally asked God what I should write this week because I still had no clue... and well the moment I stepped out of the shower and fixed breakfast, I broke a bottle of herbs. A good portion of the carpet was covered in herbs/glass shards, and thats when it dawned on me that words can be like herbs and glass shards. Once scattered, they are not easily picked up, and the occasional tiny glass shard still lurks in the shadows inconspicuously. In the same way, the things we may accidentally say in anger or frustration has the potential to cause serious damage to others.
It makes far better sense to follow God's wise direction that's laid out for us in His word :)
When someone offends you, I encourage you all, TAKE THE HIGH ROAD! Don't wait for the other person to be an example of Christ, Be the example yourself and impact your friends. Be the exception to the rule. (I say this more to myself than to all of you, I too have a problem with harbouring offense, but it is one of the easiest ways in which we can stumble.)
Let's all pitch in together and work on being an example of the believers :)
-By this shall all men know you are My disciples, if ye have love one for another-
