I Am Not Perfect

Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.

“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye. [Matthew 7:1-5]

If you see a Christian brother or sister sinning in a way that does not lead to death, you should pray... [1 John 5:16]

But anyone who hates another brother or sister is still living and walking in darkness. [1 John 2:11]

Love means to love that which is unlovable, or it is no virtue at all; forgiving means to pardon that which is unpardonable, or it is no virtue at all. [G.K. Chesterton]

Love every man in spite of his falling into sin. Never mind the sins, but remember that the foundation of the man is the same - the image of God. [John of Kronstadt]

He has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their Christian brothers and sisters. [1 John 4:21]

Whatever a person may be like, we must still love them because we love God. [John Calvin]

[Jesus in] The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies: probably because they are generally the same people. [G.K. Chesterton]
