"It Has To Break Down One Day"

Some people are born into a system, based perhaps on traditions, perhaps on religion, perhaps on societal culture. Like Disney Monorails, the system works for a long period of time. The question is "Will it hold forever?" If like Disney Monorails, the system should one day break down, then where would those who placed their complete trust in such a system stand?
