I guess a picture speaks a thousand words, so here I am bringing the Cambodian kids for us to see. The kids there like we'll can see in this picture appear to be happy and contended with the things they have, be it living conditions, food, and most importantly, life.
Many thoughts came to me in that trip. Was thinking on the comfort that most of us here generally received, and that make us so comfortable, so much so that we do not want to leave that comfortable area. The fact that touches me most is their childlike nature, where it is so precious to begin with.
Jesus said in Matthew 18:3 - And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
This is a powerful verse that struck me in Tuesday night Bible study! Our kids in Singapore are maturing so fast for their age! You can see kids that are so vain for their age, wanting to dress like adults when this phrase of life should be childlike.
I hope that we can all strive to be humble, for that is the message that Matt 18:3 is trying to convey, and the one thing that I've learned from the Cambodia trip last week was child likeness in the eyes of God, and it was shown to me first hand like the picture above.
May the good Lord bless his word to his people.
