Where's Your Mission Field?

Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Just wanna share a little something with you guys. I've been wanting to go to the mission fields but the doors have always been closed for me thus far. However, looking at Acts 1:8, we can be witnesses unto God in Jerusalem( which is our own homeland) too!

I've just started my attachment (student internship programme) a few days ago and was under an environment where i'm working with all the China workers. It was a culture shock for me and sometimes I don't really understand their language. Whenever they talked to me, I'll have a blank look and trying to figure out what they were saying. haha.. Something exciting is that, yesterday morning before I head for work, God impressed upon my heart that this is my mission field! They are just right before me and I don't have to travel all the way to China just to share of Christ's love to them! I was really excited when I think about it and then I started praying for opportunity to share at work before I reached my workplace.

To be honest, I thought God will give me the opportunity maybe a few more days later at work. Thus, I didnt prepare myself to share in mandarin. I just went for work as usual and you would have guess it! God gave me the opportunity to witness to 2 to 3 of my colleagues at work! They were quite open to it and I managed to pass one of them a chinese tract. Can you imagine, I was sharing with them while we were making mooncakes. Haha..

A little lesson learnt from here is that, God will use you if you allow Him to! He can use you anywhere and anytime as long as you are available for Him and sensitive towards His leading! =)

Some questions for you to ponder on:
1. Have you been praying for your mission field? (at home, school, work, or wherever you are!)
2. Are you willing to let God use you to be a mouthpiece for Him to share the GOOD NEWS to the people around you?
3. Do you believe that God can use you if you allow Him to?

Take a moment to reflect and start praying! Be prepared to let God use you for the furtherance of His kingdom! It's gonna be exciting when you see how God works :)

Love in Christ,
Catherine.

Thank God for this sharing. Indeed God has planted a Jerusalem right in front of our eyes, but we failed to acknowledge it. God help us!
