Reflections: First Mission Trip, First Hand Experience

The Philippines Evangelistic Campaign has been an eye-opener for me. Considering that this is my first mission trip as well as my first time traveling to the Philippines, this trip means a lot to me. I went for this trip without much anticipation because I don’t know what to expect since it is a first for me.

All I knew was that I wanted to draw closer to God through this trip and that was the reason why I went in the first place. I was open to what the Lord wants to teach me through this whole experience and I must say that He has indeed shown me many things and taught me many lessons.

The biggest takeaway or blessing for me is the simple fact that I drew closer to God during this trip and because of that I’m thankful. While there are other lessons that God has taught me such as preaching, worship, ministry, etc, the greatest thing I take away was the strengthening of my relationship with my God.

I highly encourage all of you to take the step of faith to go for the campaign next year. See you then!
